The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed regarding the superior quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service stage developed for intervention encounters a substantial influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend status sassa to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to help the servicing of all prospects and raise use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
